EnGarde FLEX-PRO Shines At SOFEX 2014
(Amsterdam – May 23, 2014) - EnGarde’s FLEX-PRO soft armor panel was the star of the show at this year’s Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference (SOFEX) held biennially in Amman, Jordan. EnGarde staff introduced our new FLEX-PRO soft armor panels to attendees representing 35 nations.
A total of 362 companies, representing 35 nations, came together in Amman, Jordan for the biennial Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference (SOFEX) held the first week of May. EnGarde body armor was there to introduce our innovative new FLEX-PRO™ soft armor panel to the very elite of the world’s security services.
The FLEX-PRO panel represents a huge leap forward in the development of flexible body armor panels. The FLEX-PRO panels are so soft they can be rolled up yet are currently being subject to the most stringent laboratory testing protocols, including the NIJ STD 0101.06 standard to demonstrate superior protection from hits placed close to the panel edges. The new FLEX-PRO will be available in both NIJ Level II and IIIA configurations and are expected to be on the market in the later part of 2014. EnGarde staff were proud to make our FLEX-PRO the star of our SOFEX display.
Interested visitors kept the EnGarde team busy showing off the FLEX-PRO soft armor panel and its use in concealable vests such as the EnGarde DeLuxe and Dual Use. While they may be soft and highly concealable, our FLEX-PRO panels are also tough enough for the EnGarde Leopard and EnGarde Panther tactical body armor, a fact that came as a surprise to many of our visitors.
“Our FLEX-PRO panel was a huge hit at SOFEX,” says EnGarde Marketing Manager Iwan Luiten. “There is a lot of interest in the combination of superior protection with a soft, flexible panel that defines FLEX-PRO. It was a great show.”
The three day event started on May 5th and is held at the King Abdullah I air base in Amman, Jordan. Besides being a showcase for the latest and greatest in tactical and security hardware, the show offers several conferences on issues pertinent to counterterrorism and homeland security.
